Hey! I’m the red head behind the camera, Shayla!

I’m a wife to my high school sweetheart, momma to our 4 little girls, and published photographer. Before I started my photography business I had a career in corrections. I still have a love and passion for everything law enforcement but life had other plans when I got pregnant with my second daughter. I wanted nothing more than to stay home with all my babies after 3 years working full time in corrections and many hours not at home. Together we made it work and I finally got to stay home and never leave my girls. When I got my first camera as a gift from my daddy to capture the best photos of my new baby, I loved it so much I became obsessed with the craft. I obsessed with getting better and better and trying to always make my next photo better than the last. I’ve spent so many hours learning and researching how to get better and better. I’m completely self-taught. I started just shooting on auto and praying for the best to today knowing exactly how to make my camera create what I’m envisioning in my head. I have plans for magical edits before I even get home from your session and open your photos. This has thankfully turned into my full time job and business but I’m also so passionate about every single session with you all that put your trust in me. I love capturing the real and raw moments with your families. The candid moments of playing with your babies. The real love I see between excited new bride and grooms.
